Our Story

Lavender: [lavare - Latin] to wash.

The story of Aura began with a visit to a small lavender shop in the French countryside. The shop sold an intoxicating and beautiful french lavender essential oil from the famous lavender fields of France, along with other luxurious products produced with this oil. Our founder bought some of this oil, and having ran out of deodorant, decided to try out the lavender as a deodorant. Because of the powerful antibacterial qualities of the lavender essential oil, coupled with the uplifting fresh and floral aroma, it made an amazingly effective deodorant and a pleasant personal scent even in its simplest form.

For added convenience it was made into a spray deodorant which doubled as an eau de cologne (body spray). Over time the spray evolved and ingredients were added to develop a more sophisticated aroma, but the idea remains the same: to kill the bacteria with essential oils and to add a subtle but pleasant scent to the body, and it still works just like day one.

Today Aura Deodorant & Body Spray is made in small batches with only the highest quality natural ingredients sourced from regions across cross the globe to bring you a product that is both sophisticated yet simple, as many of the best things in life are.
